Leyline Binding

In Commander, Leyline Binding is at its best in three- or more-color decks where the domain reduction consistently brings it to one or two mana — at that cost, exiling a threat at instant speed is simply better than almost any competing option. In Modern, it anchors four- and five-color control and midrange shells, where the same domain logic applies and the card has seen significant competitive play. Legacy is legal but the card rarely appears there — the format's threat density and the presence of faster interaction mean a conditional-cost enchantment rarely makes the cut. Pioneer allows it, and domain strategies in that format can use it, though the color requirements are harder to meet consistently across the field.
