Leaden Fists turns any creature into a 0/0 in combat — it grants +3/+3 but removes the ability to untap, which means the enchanted creature swings once and locks itself out of blocking forever. It's a precision removal-adjacent tool, not a combat trick, and the enchant-creature restriction means your opponent chooses whether to attack into it.

In Commander, Leaden Fists is a niche answer to a single threatening attacker or blocker — stapling a permanent tap to a problematic creature at instant speed is genuinely useful, but one-for-one aura-based interaction rarely earns a slot in a 99-card format where opponents have two more threats ready. In Pauper it sees occasional fringe play in tempo and control shells as a way to permanently neuter a key creature without using a hard removal spell. Legacy and Vintage have no interest — the effect is too slow and too narrow when unconditional removal costs one mana. Leaden Fists occupies a narrow space where budget, instant speed, and permanent tap all converge; outside Pauper, better options exist at the same cost.

Current price
$0.05 bulk tier
At $0.05, Leaden Fists is deep bulk — you're not buying it for value, you're buying it because it's essentially free. That price is stable for the foreseeable future; bulk commons with narrow applications don't move.
