Krasis Incubation freezes a creature and an artifact or land permanently until you spend mana to bounce it — an unconventional answer that doubles as a soft lock when you can keep the activation cost up. The three-mana enchant plus the recurring four-mana untap tax is real, but on something like Crystalline Crawler it becomes a one-sided stax piece that scales with how much mana your opponent is willing to waste.

Commander is the only format where Krasis Incubation is worth sleeving up — the singleton environment lets it answer a single problem permanent indefinitely, and the slower game pace means the enchant cost and activation tax are manageable. In Legacy, Modern, or Pioneer, a four-mana enchant Aura that doesn't permanently answer anything is simply too slow and too fragile to removal, where opponents can just destroy the enchantment and untap for free. Krasis Incubation is a Commander-only card in practice, full stop.
