Korozda Guildmage turns surplus creatures into a board-wide buff or a swarm of tokens — both activated at instant speed, both relevant in the late game where graveyard decks actually want to be. The cost is a two-mana 2/2 body with no built-in card advantage; you're buying the activations, not the stats, and in Hogaak, Arisen Necropolis that trade is absolutely worth it.

Hogaak, Arisen Necropolis
Hogaak, Arisen Necropolis convokes and delves its way back from the graveyard repeatedly, generating a glut of expendable creatures that Korozda Guildmage converts into +1/+1 counters across the team or a fresh wave of Saproling tokens — either mode feeds the next Hogaak cast while keeping the board threatening.

Commander is where Korozda Guildmage earns its slot — specifically in Golgari sacrifice and reanimator shells that run wide and treat creatures as a renewable resource. In those decks, the token-generation ability doubles as a sacrifice outlet and a board-rebuild engine, which is a lot of work for a two-drop. Competitive Modern and Legacy already have tighter, cheaper options for both roles, so Korozda Guildmage doesn't see meaningful play there. Pioneer's midrange creature decks lack the graveyard density to get full value from either ability, making it a fringe consideration at best.

$0.12 bulk tier
At $0.12, Korozda Guildmage is deep bulk — you're picking it out of a dollar box or ordering a playset for under a dollar. The price is stable at this floor; there's no catalyst to push it up, but there's also nowhere lower to go.
