Scourge of Nel Toth is a 6/6 flying Dragon Zombie that recasts itself from the graveyard by sacrificing two Zombies — the recurring threat is the point, not the seven-mana sticker price. Decks running Infested Thrinax or similar token factories treat the alternative cost as trivial, and Gisa and Geralf can cast it directly from the graveyard on top of that.

Gisa and Geralf
Gisa and Geralf lets you cast Scourge of Nel Toth straight out of the graveyard on the first pass, then the Scourge's own recursion engine takes over — you rarely need to hard-cast it twice.

Ghoulcaller Gisa
Ghoulcaller Gisa generates a pile of 2/2 Zombie tokens on demand, which feeds directly into Scourge of Nel Toth's two-Zombie alternate cost and keeps it returning turn after turn.

Scourge of Nel Toth lives almost entirely in Commander, where the graveyard recursion loop has room to generate repeated value across a long game. Legacy and Vintage allow it, but a seven-mana 6/6 — even one with a self-recur clause — can't compete with those formats' threat density and speed. Commander is where the sacrifice synergies and Zombie tribal infrastructure actually exist to make the alternate cost matter, so that's the only context worth evaluating it in.

$0.74 bulk tier
At $0.74, Scourge of Nel Toth is firmly bulk — you're paying almost nothing for a card with real synergy upside in the right shell. Bulk rares with active graveyard loops don't tend to spike, but this one doesn't need to: at that price it's a no-brainer include for any Zombie sacrifice deck that wants a flying finisher with built-in recursion.
