Kithkin Armor grants shroud to an enchanted creature for as long as you keep a Forest in play — that protection costs you nothing beyond the one mana to equip it. It's a bulk uncommon for a reason: the Forest dependency and enchantment fragility make it strictly worse than almost every other shroud or hexproof option at any budget.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | not legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Kithkin Armor is legal in Commander, Legacy, Vintage, Pauper, and Oathbreaker, but it sees meaningful play in exactly none of them. In Commander, the conditional shroud is undercut by the enchantment's own vulnerability — a single removal spell strips the protection you paid to set up. In Pauper, where budget constraints make commons and uncommons relevant, better auras and protection spells exist at the same price point. Kithkin Armor is technically castable in Legacy and Vintage but has never been a consideration for either format.

Price Context
Current price
$0.15 bulk tier
At $0.15, Kithkin Armor is deep bulk — the kind of card that shows up in bulk bins rather than trade binders. That price is unlikely to move; there is no competitive or casual demand pulling it upward.
