Commander is where Kalastria Healer actually lives — three opponents means each trigger drains nine total life across the table, and a critical mass of Ally enter-the-battlefield effects can close games without combat. In Pauper, it's a legitimate combo piece in Ally Rally shells where you can chain enter-the-battlefield triggers at common rarity. Modern and Pioneer have both rotated past the Ally tribal peak, and faster synergy decks make a two-mana 1/1 with a slow drain trigger too fragile to build around. Legacy and Vintage have no interest in it. Kalastria Healer is a one-format card with a clear best home.
