Infestation Expert // Infested Werewolf card art
Infestation Expert // Infested Werewolf puts an Insect token into play every time a creature enters under your control — on a body that flips into a 4/4 trampler if you can keep your spell count low. The catch is that werewolf flip conditions are notoriously hard to control in Commander, so treat this primarily as a token-generation engine and consider Eldrazi Displacer as the kind of repeatable blink effect that makes it absurd.

In Commander, Infestation Expert // Infested Werewolf earns a slot in any token or Werewolf deck that triggers ETBs repeatedly — one creature-heavy turn can produce a swarm of Insects before opponents can respond. Modern and Pioneer have faster clocks where a two-mana 1/1 with a conditional flip rarely makes the cut outside of dedicated Werewolf tribal, where the payoff is too slow against turn-three threats. Legacy and Vintage don't touch it. The card's real home is Commander, specifically in decks that can protect a low-spell-count turn to flip it, or that simply don't care about the werewolf side and want the front face's token generation on a cheap, recurrable body.

Price Context

Current price

$0.19 bulk tier

At $0.19, Infestation Expert // Infested Werewolf is deep bulk — easy to pick up in a trade binder or as a throw-in. Bulk rares with narrow tribal homes rarely climb without a reprint-driven reprint paradox or a breakout Standard season, neither of which applies here, so expect it to stay in the dime-box range indefinitely.
