Indrik Umbra turns any creature into a removal engine — first strike plus +4/+4 means the enchanted creature wins every combat and destroys whatever it touches. Six mana is a real cost, but the totem armor clause means a single removal spell doesn't end the party.

Commander is where Indrik Umbra lives. Voltron commanders — anything that wants to attack one threat at a time and clear the board doing it — treat this as a premium aura, and totem armor meaningfully raises the floor against wraths that target auras. In Legacy and Vintage it's technically legal but never played; six mana for an enchantment that doesn't affect the board immediately is a non-starter in those formats. Oathbreaker follows the same logic as Commander on a smaller scale, and the six-mana ceiling is slightly more punishing there given shorter games.

Price Context
Current price
$1.16 cheap tier
At $1.16, Indrik Umbra sits squarely in the bulk-rare tier — cheap enough to throw into any Voltron build without a second thought. It's unlikely to climb; supply is healthy and the effect, while solid, isn't so universally powerful that demand will spike.
