Imps' Taunt forces one opponent to have all their creatures attack you this turn — a full redirect of combat that can swing a three-way board state in a single move. Avatar Aang // Aang, Master of Elements and similar "pillow fort punishes attacker" commanders make this effect backbreaking, but the cost is real: you're painting a target on yourself for the rest of the table.

Imps' Taunt is a Commander card through and through — the politics of redirecting one player's entire attack into you only matter when there are three other people at the table watching. In a four-player pod it creates real leverage: strip an opponent's board of blockers, bait out an overcommitted swing, or sacrifice your own defenses to let a third player clean up. Legacy and Vintage are technically legal homes, but one-on-one those formats offer no political upside, and a sorcery-speed combat redirect rarely matters in 60-card games where combat is already a binary exchange. Oathbreaker has the same multiplayer texture as Commander and is the one place outside EDH where this card earns its slot.

$0.21 bulk tier
At $0.21, Imps' Taunt sits firmly in bulk territory — you're paying next to nothing for a niche but genuinely powerful effect. Bulk rares with narrow applications rarely move unless a breakout commander pushes demand, so don't expect price movement, but there's no reason not to own a copy for any red political or combat-manipulation build.
