Impolite Entrance card art
Impolite Entrance puts a 1/1 Goblin token onto the battlefield and deals 1 damage to any target — two effects stapled to one red mana. In Zada, Hedron Grinder decks it copies to every creature you control, turning a single spell into a board-wide draw engine and a ping storm simultaneously.

Commanders with the highest synergy

01
Zada, Hedron Grinder

Zada, Hedron Grinder

55.8% of decks · synergy 0.51

Zada, Hedron Grinder copies Impolite Entrance for each other creature you control, so one mana creates a Goblin, deals damage equal to your board size, and draws that many cards — it's one of the most efficient spells in the deck.

02
The Howling Abomination

The Howling Abomination

36.1% of decks · synergy 0.35

The Howling Abomination cares about instants and sorceries cast, and Impolite Entrance provides both a spell trigger and a free Goblin body, stacking value on an already trigger-hungry commander.

03

Urabrask

32.0% of decks · synergy 0.27

Urabrask taxes opponents on their spells while rewarding you for casting your own, and Impolite Entrance slots in as a cheap, impactful spell that advances your board while pinging blockers or planeswalkers.

04
Feather, the Redeemed

Feather, the Redeemed

23.6% of decks · synergy 0.22

Feather, the Redeemed returns targeting spells from the graveyard to hand, and Impolite Entrance — targeting a creature you control — comes back every turn for a repeatable Goblin plus damage loop.

05
Rionya, Fire Dancer

Rionya, Fire Dancer

21.1% of decks · synergy 0.16

Rionya, Fire Dancer creates creature token copies at the end of combat based on instants and sorceries cast, and Impolite Entrance is an on-theme cheap spell that also drops a Goblin to copy.

Format Analysis

FormatVerdict
commander

modern
pioneer
standard
vintage
pauper
oathbreaker

Impolite Entrance is legal across Commander, Legacy, Modern, Pioneer, Standard, Vintage, and Oathbreaker, though it's not legal in Pauper. Commander is where it earns its keep — the Zada, Hedron Grinder and Feather, the Redeemed ecosystems make a one-mana spell that replaces itself and generates a body genuinely powerful, not just playable. In 60-card formats it's too low-impact to compete at meaningful power levels; one damage and one 1/1 token don't move the needle in Modern or Legacy without a specific copy-spell shell. Standard legality is real, but without a Zada analog in the format, Impolite Entrance is a fringe Limited pick at best.
