Commander is where Identity Crisis actually sees play — multiplayer pods generate graveyards worth exiling, recursion is rampant, and six mana is reachable by mid-game in most green-white shells. Targeting a single player with a six-mana sorcery in a four-player game is a real cost, so it slots best into decks that can guarantee the kill follows immediately or pair it with extra-turn effects. In Legacy and Vintage, it is technically legal but functionally irrelevant — faster discard and targeted graveyard hate do the job at a fraction of the cost. Oathbreaker can find a home for it in white-black control shells that want to strand a single opponent completely.
