Commander is where Ichormoon Gauntlet earns its slot — planeswalker-heavy decks get both the extra activation and the spell-triggered proliferate, and with multiple walkers on board the math on ultimates becomes genuinely broken. In Oathbreaker, the card is even more focused: your commander is a planeswalker by definition, so every noncreature spell ticks that ultimate clock down. Competitive Modern and Pioneer planeswalker shells have glanced at Ichormoon Gauntlet, but four mana is slow for formats where walkers already get answered the turn they land, and the payoff requires a board presence those formats rarely sustain. Legacy and Vintage have access to it but have no incentive to run it over faster threats.
