Hush wipes every enchantment on the board for one green mana at sorcery speed — symmetrical, clean, and brutally efficient. It's a niche card, but in the right meta it's a one-card answer to Rhystic Study, Sylvan Library, and Smothering Tithe all at once.

In Commander, Hush earns a slot when your table is drowning in enchantments and you want a reset that costs almost nothing to cast. Legacy and Vintage have more surgical options at instant speed, so Hush rarely competes there. Pauper is its most natural home outside Commander — enchantment-heavy control shells are common, and a one-mana board wipe for that permanent type is difficult to replicate at that price point. Oathbreaker mirrors the Commander calculus: if the meta justifies it, the cost is almost free.
