Heroism pumps your entire team whenever you cast a spell targeting a creature you control — the effect scales hard with token-wide anthem setups and resets from Archon of Falling Stars. At one white mana for a permanent enchantment, the cost is essentially free for any deck already running auras or protection spells.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | not legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Heroism is legal in Commander, Legacy, Vintage, and Oathbreaker, but its home is Commander — specifically go-wide white decks that sling auras, buffs, or protection spells across a wide board. In Legacy and Vintage, the effect is too incremental and too easy to answer for competitive lists to care. Oathbreaker can use it in aggressive white shells, but the smaller table size reduces the snowball potential. Commander is where Heroism actually threatens to close games.

$0.14 bulk tier
At $0.14, Heroism is deep bulk — no barrier to picking up four copies. Given its niche fit, the price is unlikely to move unless a breakout Commander deck pushes demand.
