Heightened Awareness replaces itself every turn by drawing you an extra card at the cost of discarding one — the net effect is card filtering, not card advantage, unless you're already dumping your hand faster than you draw. The setup cost of discarding your entire hand on the first upkeep after it resolves is steep enough that it belongs only in decks designed to empty their hands quickly.

Commander is the primary home for Heightened Awareness — a 100-card singleton format is hungry for repeated draw, and decks that empty their hands through aggressive play or discard synergies can absorb the upkeep discard without flinching. In Legacy and Vintage it's legal but unplayed; those formats move too fast for a five-mana enchantment that asks you to discard your hand before it does anything. Oathbreaker shares Commander's multiplayer pacing and could support it in the right shell, though the smaller deck size makes the card less necessary.
