Hedron Blade card art
Hedron Blade equips for one mana and gives the equipped creature +1/+0 plus deathtouch — relevant stats for a two-mana equipment. The deathtouch rider is the whole reason to run it: one point of damage kills anything, which turns even a 1/1 into a credible blocker or attacker against X/X threats.

In Commander, Hedron Blade earns a slot almost exclusively in decks that weaponize deathtouch — Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, Glissa, the Traitor, or any Voltron build that wants cheap deathtouch to discourage blocks. Competitive formats like Modern and Legacy have no interest in it; one-mana equipment that only grants +1/+0 and deathtouch is too low-impact when efficient threats and interaction exist at every turn. Pauper is the one non-Commander format where Hedron Blade can see fringe play, since deathtouch on an evasive common creature can trade up against bigger threats at minimal cost.

Price Context

Current price

$0.07 bulk tier

At $0.07, Hedron Blade sits firmly in bulk territory and will stay there — it's a narrow equipment with no competitive demand outside Commander deathtouch synergy packages. Pick it up in a bulk bin rather than as a singles purchase; it's not worth paying shipping for on its own.
