Hate Mirage

Sorcery

Choose up to two target creatures you don't control. For each of those creatures, create a token that's a copy of that creature. Those tokens gain haste. Exile them at the beginning of the next end step.

Hate Mirage card art
Hate Mirage copies each attacking creature you control for the turn, generating a board's worth of temporary tokens that hit hard before vanishing at end of combat. At three mana at instant speed, the payoff-to-cost ratio is real — The Master, Multiplied and token-doubling shells treat this as a reliable combat multiplier.

Obeka, Brute Chronologist

Obeka, Brute Chronologist

47.2% of decks · synergy 0.46

Obeka, Brute Chronologist can end the turn before Hate Mirage's tokens are sacrificed, leaving the copies on the battlefield permanently — turning a one-combat trick into a free token army.

Neyali, Suns' Vanguard

Neyali, Suns' Vanguard

36.1% of decks · synergy 0.36

Neyali, Suns' Vanguard gives all attacking tokens double strike, so Hate Mirage effectively doubles the number of creatures swinging with double strike in the same turn — the damage output scales faster than almost any other combat trick.

oathbreaker

Commander is where Hate Mirage does its real work — multiplayer combat means more attackers, more tokens generated, and more enters-the-battlefield or attack triggers to stack before end of combat. Legacy and Vintage allow it but offer faster, more resilient ways to win than a combat-step token effect, so it rarely competes there. Oathbreaker is a legitimate home for the same reason Commander is: smaller deck, easier to find, and the two-player dynamic still rewards combat doubling when your spellshaper commander has the right attack trigger.

Price Context

Current price

$0.13 bulk tier

At $0.13, Hate Mirage is firmly bulk — pick it up without a second thought. Given its 58% inclusion rate in The Master, Multiplied decks and a narrow but devoted audience, the floor is about as low as it gets and the card delivers well above its price.
