Harness Infinity swaps your graveyard for your opponent's hand — a complete board-state reset that can end games on the spot if your yard is loaded. Six mana for a sorcery is the ceiling of what Commander tolerates, but the effect is so asymmetric that the cost is justified.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Commander is where Harness Infinity actually lives — graveyard-centric strategies like Muldrotha, the Gravetide or Sidisi, Brood Tyrant can fill a yard fast enough that the swap represents a massive card advantage swing at a point in the game where six mana is routine. In Legacy, Modern, and Pioneer it's a non-starter: six mana sorceries that don't win immediately don't survive those formats' clocks, and opponent hand sizes are rarely large enough to make the swap worth it. Oathbreaker shares enough of Commander's slower pace that niche graveyard commanders could find a home for it, but the smaller starting hand size in 1v1 dampens the ceiling.

Price Context
Current price
$1.29 cheap tier
At $1.29, Harness Infinity sits in the "sleeve it without thinking" tier — the price reflects its narrow role rather than any lack of power. It's unlikely to spike given how format-specific the effect is, but for the decks that want it, $1.29 is an easy include.
