Goblin Marshal enters and immediately puts two 1/1 tokens on the battlefield, then does it again when it dies — six power across three bodies for five mana is a real rate. It's a staple in Goblin tribal Commander lists and a respectable role-player anywhere that rewards sacrifice or death triggers.
Format Analysis

Commander is where Goblin Marshal earns its keep: tribal synergies with Krenko, Mob Boss and Muxus, Goblin Grandee turn a single five-drop into a persistent board presence that punishes sweepers by replacing itself. In Legacy, Goblin tribal is a real deck, but five mana is a steep ask in a format with Force of Will and Wasteland keeping the curve honest — Marshal sees fringe play at best. Vintage is technically legal but irrelevant; the format moves too fast for this slot. Goblin Marshal is a Commander card through and through, and a good one.

Price Context
Current price
$0.66 bulk tier
At $0.66, Goblin Marshal is firmly bulk — easy to acquire and unlikely to spike unless a breakout Commander printing pushes Goblin tribal into the spotlight. Pick it up without hesitation; the price floor is essentially the floor.
