Glyph of Doom turns any wall or defender into a one-way kill switch — creatures that deal damage to it are destroyed, no questions asked. The catch is the setup cost: you need a blocking creature to receive the glyph, which means this is reactive removal stapled to a niche enabler, not a standalone threat.

In Commander, Glyph of Doom occupies a narrow lane: pillow-fort and defender-tribal builds that already want creatures absorbing hits, where it converts guaranteed blocks into guaranteed kills. Outside that niche, the setup dependency makes it too conditional — most Commander tables move too fast for reactive enchantments that require an attack step to fire. In Legacy and Vintage it's a historical curiosity with no competitive traction; the format speed makes the attack-trigger requirement a liability. Pauper is its most plausible competitive home given the common-heavy creature formats, but even there, Glyph of Doom rarely sees play when cheaper instant-speed removal exists.

At $0.33, Glyph of Doom is pure bulk — a niche card priced accordingly. It holds that floor because demand is thin and supply is essentially unlimited for anyone willing to dig through old commons boxes.
