Gladecover Scout is a hexproof one-drop — it exists to carry Auras and mutations without dying to a Swords to Plowshares before it gets started. In Illuna, Apex of Wishes shells specifically, it doubles as a cheap non-land permanent to mutate onto, giving you a protected base the turn you want to fire off the engine.
