Ghost-Lit Stalker forces a discard every turn for just one black mana activation, and it can channel itself into a targeted three-discard hit when you're done with the body. The cost is tempo: you're spending mana and a card slot on a 1/1 that does nothing in combat.

In Commander, Ghost-Lit Stalker is a niche fit for dedicated discard-matters builds — think Tinybones, Trinket Thief or Waste Not shells that want repeatable, low-cost hand disruption on a stick. Elsewhere in Constructed, it's too slow: Legacy and Vintage have access to free or instant-speed discard that makes a 1/1 you tap every turn look embarrassing by comparison, and Modern's card-quality has long outpaced anything Ghost-Lit Stalker threatens to accomplish. The channel ability is the honest reason to play it — being able to convert a dead body into a three-card discard burst gives it a ceiling that straight attackers lack.

Current price
$0.14 bulk tier
At $0.14, Ghost-Lit Stalker is deep bulk — you're paying for cardboard, not demand. Given how narrow its home is, there's no pressure on that price to move.
