Genju of the Realm animates any land into a 8/12 trampling spirit for two mana — repeatable every turn, and it returns to your hand when the land dies so removal barely sticks. The catch is the five-color activation cost, which means you only run it in decks that can reliably produce all five colors.
Format Analysis

In Commander, Genju of the Realm is a niche but legitimate finisher in five-color decks — the activation cost is a real barrier in four-color or lower, but any deck already paying WUBRG for other effects can turn a basic land into an 8/12 trampler on demand. In Legacy and Vintage, it's legal but sees no competitive play; five mana total for a creature that isn't immediately on the battlefield and requires a dedicated land slot is too slow against those formats' threat density. Modern has faster, cheaper threats that don't require land sacrifice to deploy, so Genju of the Realm doesn't make the cut there either. Oathbreaker is the one non-Commander 60-card format where a five-color shell is plausible, and if your planeswalker supports it, the card punches above its price point.

Price Context
Current price
$3.77 cheap tier
At $3.77, Genju of the Realm sits in the cheap tier — affordable enough to include speculatively in any five-color build without budget regret. Its niche appeal as a five-color-only card keeps demand low and the price stable; don't expect significant movement in either direction.
