Genju of the Falls animates an Island into a 3/2 flying spirit for two mana, and if that Island ever dies, you get the enchantment back in hand. The recursion clause is the real hook — it's hard to strand in the graveyard, which makes it a persistent threat in any blue deck willing to spend a land slot on it.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t

In Commander, Genju of the Falls fits blue decks that want repeated evasive pressure without dedicating a creature slot — Talrand, Sky Summoner and Shorikai, Genesis Engine shells appreciate the free rebuy every time the land gets destroyed. In Legacy and Vintage, it's too slow against the formats' threat density and interaction speed; land-animation strategies simply don't compete at that pace. Modern is legal but similarly hostile — a 3/2 flier that costs two mana and a land tap isn't close to rate-competitive. Genju of the Falls is a Commander card through and through, and even there it's a niche choice rather than a staple.

Price Context
Current price
$0.07 bulk tier
At $0.07, Genju of the Falls is deep bulk — a throw-in card with essentially no floor left to fall through. Supply is wide and demand is narrow, so that price is stable in the sense that nothing is pushing it in either direction.
