Game Preserve

Enchantment

At the beginning of your upkeep, each player reveals the top card of their library. If all cards revealed this way are creature cards, put those cards onto the battlefield under their owners' control.

Game Preserve card art
Game Preserve puts a creature from each player's library onto the battlefield every upkeep — if you're building around that effect, it snowballs fast. The four-mana enchantment asks you to build around it, but the payoff in the right shell is immediate and board-warping.

Format Analysis

Where it lives, where it can’t

oathbreaker

Game Preserve is legal in Commander, Legacy, Vintage, and Oathbreaker, and that's where it lives — Constructed formats like Modern, Pioneer, and Standard don't have it on the list. Commander is the only home that matters: the symmetrical creature deployment scales with the number of opponents, meaning in a four-player pod Game Preserve is effectively tripling the rate of creatures hitting the board relative to a duel. Legacy and Vintage could technically run it, but the effect is too slow and too symmetrical to compete in those formats. Oathbreaker is the one other format worth a mention — smaller life totals and faster games mean the effect needs to close quickly, which limits the commanders that can extract value from it.

Price Context

Current price

$0.52 bulk tier

At $0.52, Game Preserve is firmly bulk — low enough that there's no financial friction to testing it. Bulk enchantments with narrow build-around requirements rarely spike unless a commander printing pushes them into the spotlight, so buy it for the deck, not the binder.
