Fortunate Few is a five-mana sorcery that destroys all nonland permanents except one chosen by each player — a full reset that leaves every opponent with exactly one threat and you with exactly one answer. It's the most politically elegant board wipe in Commander, and at common rarity it's criminally underplayed.
Format Analysis

Fortunate Few is a Commander card through and through — the 'each player chooses' clause is dead text in a duel but is exactly the kind of political leverage a four-player table rewards. In Commander, it doubles as a negotiation tool: opponents will often save their most dangerous permanent, which tells you exactly what to remove next. Legacy and Vintage have access to it but run faster, more efficient disruption, so it sees essentially no play there. Oathbreaker is the one other format where the politics matter, and it slots in well as a reset in any white deck that wants to avoid blowback.

Price Context
Current price
$0.37 bulk tier
At $0.37, Fortunate Few sits firmly in bulk territory — pick up a copy for under fifty cents and don't expect that to change. White board wipes at this price point rarely spike unless a commander breaks the card wide open, and nothing on the horizon suggests that's imminent.
