If it's not your turn, you may exile a red card from your hand rather than pay this spell's mana cost.
Create two 3/1 red Elemental creature tokens with trample and haste. Sacrifice those tokens at the beginning of your next upkeep.

Force of Rage card art
Force of Rage puts two 3/1 haste tokens on the board for free — the cost is that they die at end of turn unless you can copy it with something like Dual Casting before they vanish. That trade-off makes it a precision tool for sacrifice and token-doubling shells rather than a generalist spell.

Commander is where Force of Rage earns its slot, specifically in Goblin, sacrifice, and token-copy decks that can exploit the tokens before the cleanup step. In Legacy and Vintage, the free-spell angle is more interesting — pitch it to fuel prowess or storm counts — but the self-destruct clause keeps it off most serious lists. Modern has enough free-spell competition that Force of Rage rarely makes the cut outside of niche token-abuse builds. It's legal in Oathbreaker but sees minimal play there for the same reasons it underperforms outside Commander.

Price Context

Current price

$0.30 bulk tier

At $0.30, Force of Rage is firmly bulk — low barrier to test in any token or sacrifice list. Bulk rares with narrow use cases like this rarely appreciate unless a new commander pushes the archetype, so treat it as a cheap experiment rather than a pickup to hold.
