Food Fight turns every Food token on the battlefield into a 3/3 haste attacker until end of turn — the payoff scales directly with how many tokens your table has accumulated. At four mana for a one-shot alpha strike, it demands a dedicated Food-token engine to be worth the slot.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | legal |
| standard | legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Food Fight is legal in every major constructed format but sees essentially no competitive play outside Commander, where the Food-token archetype has enough critical mass to make it explosive. In Commander, it earns its slot in dedicated Food decks helmed by commanders that generate tokens repeatedly — one well-timed cast can close a game by turning a board full of 3/3s sideways with haste. In Legacy, Modern, and Pioneer it's theoretically castable but the Food ecosystem there is too thin and too creature-light to reliably threaten with it. Standard is the only non-Commander format where Food production is dense enough to consider it, though even there the effect is fringe.

Price Context
Current price
$0.25 bulk tier
At $0.25, Food Fight is deep bulk — the kind of card you pick up as a throw-in without thinking. Its price is unlikely to move unless a dominant Food commander emerges and pulls the archetype into higher-power tables.
