Flood the Engine card art
Flood the Engine draws you cards equal to the number of creatures you sacrificed this turn — in the right deck, that's four or five cards for two mana at instant speed. It's a bulk rare that punches like a mythic the moment you're already doing anything with sacrifice.

In Commander, Flood the Engine is a legitimate finisher for sacrifice decks — you'll routinely draw four or more cards off a single casting, which is exceptional value at two mana. In Modern and Pioneer, sacrifice-based aggro shells like Jund sacrifice can use it as a burst-refill after a high-sacrifice turn, though sorcery speed would be unplayable and the instant speed here is exactly what makes it functional. Legacy and Vintage have stronger draw options at the same cost, so Flood the Engine doesn't compete there. In Pauper, sacrifice is active but common-card quality draw keeps this out of the format entirely — it's not legal at common.

Price Context

Current price

$0.15 bulk tier

At $0.15, Flood the Engine is deep bulk — easy to pick up in trade binders or as a throw-in. It won't hold monetary value, but in sacrifice-heavy Commander lists it holds real in-game value, which is the only currency that matters here.
