Fight as One card art
Fight as One saves two creatures for one mana — a Human and a non-Human both get indestructible until end of turn, which is exceptional protection coverage at instant speed. In Feather, the Redeemed it does all that and comes back to hand every turn, making it effectively a permanent piece of the engine.

Feather, the Redeemed

Feather, the Redeemed recurs Fight as One every turn you target one of your own creatures, turning a one-shot protection spell into a repeatable shield that blankets both your Angel and whatever Human is swinging alongside her.

Sergeant John Benton

Sergeant John Benton

Sergeant John Benton cares about Humans specifically, and Fight as One protects both him and a non-Human attacker simultaneously — one mana to keep two threats alive through a board wipe or a blocker trade is exactly the kind of tempo-positive play this deck wants.

In Commander, Fight as One is a staple in any white deck running a meaningful Human count — one mana for indestructible on two creatures is among the most efficient protection spells available. In Modern and Pioneer it sees fringe play in Human tribal shells where protecting a lord through a sweeper is the game plan, though Brave the Elements often competes for the same slot. Legacy and Vintage offer faster, more redundant protection suites, so Fight as One rarely cracks those lists. It's cleanest in Commander, where the Human/non-Human split is easy to satisfy and the one-mana cost leaves room to interact on the same turn.

Price Context

Current price

$0.21 bulk tier

At $0.21, Fight as One is deep bulk — you're paying almost nothing for a spell that pulls meaningful weight in the right shell. Bulk commons and uncommons at this price point tend to stay flat unless a high-profile deck puts them on a buylist, so don't expect movement, but don't hesitate to pick up copies either.
