Feebleness gives a creature -2/-1 until end of turn for one black mana — cheap enough to trade up on mana, but narrow enough that it only kills small utility creatures rather than the threats that actually win games. Spot removal this conditional rarely earns a slot outside of Pauper, where the card pool is shallow enough that -2/-1 actually lines up against relevant bodies.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
In Commander, Feebleness is too weak — 40 life and large board states mean you need removal that answers a Blightsteel Colossus, not a Llanowar Elves, and one-mana combat tricks rarely pull weight at a four-player table. Legacy and Vintage have access to Fatal Push, Swords to Plowshares, and every other efficient removal spell ever printed, so Feebleness never competes. Pauper is where Feebleness actually sees play, since the format's creatures skew small and one mana for a -2/-1 can trade cleanly with early aggro threats or clear a blocker for lethal.

Price Context
Current price
$0.09 bulk tier
At $0.09, Feebleness sits firmly in bulk territory — you're buying a playset for under half a dollar. That price is essentially a floor with nowhere to go; Feebleness won't appreciably rise unless Pauper metagame shifts push aggressive one-drops into renewed prominence.
