Favor of the Mighty gives the highest-mana-value permanent on the battlefield protection from all other permanents — a blanket ward effect that scales to whoever is winning the board state. One white mana for that kind of protection is a steal, and in the right shell it locks out interaction entirely.

Favor of the Mighty is a Commander card through and through — the multiplayer board state routinely features a dominant threat with the highest mana value on the table, and one white mana to protect it is an absurd rate. In Legacy and Vintage it's legal but irrelevant: those formats close out games before a symmetrical protection enchantment matters, and control tools like Force of Will can answer it before it ever does work. Oathbreaker follows Commander's multiplayer logic closely enough that Favor of the Mighty earns a slot in any shell running a high-value signature spell or planeswalker. Pioneer, Standard, and Pauper don't get to play with it, though the latter wouldn't want it anyway at that mana value floor.

Price Context
Current price
$0.55 bulk tier
At $0.55, Favor of the Mighty sits firmly in bulk territory despite being a genuinely powerful effect in the right shell. Casual demand keeps a floor under it, but don't expect the price to move — it sees too little competitive play and too narrow a Commander audience to spike.
