Fate Foretold replaces itself when it enters and replaces itself again when the enchanted creature dies, netting you a card on both ends of the exchange. It's a fine cantrip in decks that want enchantments on the battlefield, and a liability everywhere else.
Format Analysis

In Commander, Fate Foretold earns a slot in enchantress builds — Siona, Captain of the Pyleas and Tuvasa the Sunlit both want density of auras more than they want individual power, and double-draw stapled to an aura body clears that bar. Outside of dedicated enchantment synergy, a two-mana draw-one is too slow to compete with the format's stronger cantrips. In Pauper, the common frame matters: aura-based strategies at the commons-only ceiling find Fate Foretold a clean source of card advantage that doesn't cost a rare slot. Legacy and Vintage have no room for it — the cantrip bar there starts at one mana and instant speed.

Price Context
Current price
$0.10 bulk tier
At $0.10, Fate Foretold is deep bulk — buy a playset without thinking about it. The price is stable because demand is narrow and supply is wide; don't expect movement in either direction.
