Fatal Attraction card art
Fatal Attraction enchants a creature you don't control, forces it to attack each combat if able, and then destroys it at the beginning of the next end step — a two-turn removal spell that also threatens to crash the target into a blocker before it dies. The delay is the entire cost, and in Commander that window is usually survivable; in faster formats, waiting a full round to close the deal is often too slow.

Format Analysis

In Commander, Fatal Attraction occupies the low end of acceptable removal — it kills what you point it at, but the one-turn delay means your opponent gets a farewell attack, which matters when a single combat step can swing a game. Pauper is where Fatal Attraction is most relevant competitively, since the common-only card pool thins out reliable enchantment removal and a guaranteed kill at two mana carries real weight. In Legacy and Vintage the card is legal but effectively invisible — those formats kill faster than Fatal Attraction can resolve its own trigger. Modern has better options at every price point, so there's no compelling case to run it there.

Price Context

Current price

$0.09 bulk tier

At $0.09, Fatal Attraction is deep bulk — you're not buying it for value, you're buying it because it's the piece you need and it costs less than a sleeve. Bulk commons rarely move on price unless a format-breaking deck picks them up, and nothing on the horizon suggests that's happening here.
