Fanatical Offering card art
Fanatical Offering draws two cards and creates a Treasure when you sacrifice a creature — that's a lot of return for a two-mana instant. The catch is that you need a creature to feed it, but in any shell already running sacrifice fodder, Teysa, Opulent Oligarch and friends turn that cost into a feature, not a bug.

01
Teysa, Opulent Oligarch

Teysa, Opulent Oligarch

31.6% of decks · synergy 0.29

Teysa, Opulent Oligarch generates a steady stream of tokens on opponents' turns, giving Fanatical Offering a free sacrifice target that replaces itself twice over — a card and a Treasure — while keeping the engine spinning.

02
Neriv, Crackling Vanguard

Neriv, Crackling Vanguard

13.5% of decks · synergy 0.13

Neriv, Crackling Vanguard wants creatures dying constantly to trigger its ability, and Fanatical Offering slots in as a sacrifice outlet that also refuels hand and board simultaneously.

03
Juri, Master of the Revue

Juri, Master of the Revue

13.8% of decks · synergy 0.12

Every sacrifice in a Juri, Master of the Revue deck puts a counter on Juri and inches toward a lethal fling, and Fanatical Offering converts that trigger into two cards and a Treasure without slowing the engine down.

04
Zoyowa Lava-Tongue

Zoyowa Lava-Tongue

12.7% of decks · synergy 0.11

Zoyowa Lava-Tongue cares about sacrificing creatures to deal damage, and Fanatical Offering stacks on top of that trigger by replacing the sacrificed creature with card advantage and a mana source.

Format Analysis

Fanatical Offering is legal in every major format but finds its best home in Commander, where sacrifice synergies are abundant and the two-card draw at instant speed at a two-mana cost is genuinely strong card advantage. In Pauper, it competes in a format that already has efficient sacrifice payoffs, and the raw card-draw-plus-Treasure package is worth testing in aristocrats-style lists there too. In Modern and Pioneer, it's too slow and conditional to displace dedicated sacrifice staples, but it could see fringe play in budget aristocrats builds. Legacy and Vintage move too fast for a sorcery-speed-equivalent effect at this mana cost to matter. Stick to Commander and Pauper as its real homes.

Price Context

Current price

$1.41 cheap tier

At $1.41, Fanatical Offering sits in comfortable budget territory — easy to pick up without thinking twice. New card prices at this level can drift lower as supply settles, but the effect is strong enough in Commander that sustained demand should keep it from bottoming out.
