Faithless Salvaging is a two-mana loot-with-rebound — you discard, draw, then do it again for free on your next upkeep, netting two cards seen for two cards spent. That delayed second loot is the whole reason to run it, and Feldon of the Third Path decks treat it as a premium setup card because landing a creature in the graveyard twice off one spell is exactly what that engine wants.

Feldon of the Third Path
Feldon of the Third Path is built to exploit creatures in the graveyard, and Faithless Salvaging does that work twice — once now, once on your next upkeep — giving you multiple shots to pitch the exact creature Feldon wants to copy without spending two separate cards to get there.

In Commander, Faithless Salvaging earns its slot in any red deck that wants graveyard fuel — reanimator shells, Feldon builds, and Daretti-style artifact recursion all benefit from the rebound giving you a second discard trigger on a future turn. In Pauper, it's a reasonable commons-level cantrip in madness or looting strategies, though Faithless Looting remains a stronger one-shot option where that card exists. Legacy and Vintage have too many faster, more powerful draw-and-discard options for Faithless Salvaging to compete except in niche graveyard-centric builds. It's legal in Oathbreaker for what that's worth, where the same Commander-style graveyard synergies apply.

$0.18 bulk tier
At $0.18, Faithless Salvaging is pure bulk — grab a copy out of a commons box or toss it in any order for essentially nothing. Bulk commons with narrow application don't appreciate, so don't overthink it: buy it if you want it, ignore it otherwise.
