End Hostilities card art
End Hostilities wipes the board clean of creatures and every Equipment, Aura, and token attached to them — a clean sweep that most five-mana wraths can't match. The one catch is Avacyn, Angel of Hope, whose indestructible blanket stops End Hostilities cold just like every other destroy-based wrath.

Avacyn, Angel of Hope makes your own permanents indestructible, so End Hostilities becomes a one-sided wrath — your board survives while opponents lose creatures and every Aura or Equipment riding them.

End Hostilities is a Commander card through and through — the five-mana slot in 60-card formats is crowded with faster, cheaper options, and sorcery-speed wraths rarely make the cut in Modern or Pioneer where the game ends before turn five matters. In Legacy and Vintage the competition is even stiffer. Commander is where End Hostilities earns its slot: the ability to also destroy attached Auras and Equipment is a meaningful upgrade over Wrath of God in a format full of Swords, Greaves, and Umbras that would otherwise survive a standard wrath and redeploy immediately.

Price Context

Current price

$0.34 bulk tier

At $0.34, End Hostilities sits firmly in bulk territory — easy to acquire as a throw-in trade or cheap singles order. Bulk rares with niche upsides tend to stay flat, so don't expect movement, but at this price it costs nothing to run the upgrade over a vanilla wrath.
