Elfsworn Giant card art
Elfsworn Giant lands and immediately puts a land into play tapped, then swings as a 5/5 trampler — that's a free ramp trigger stapled to a body that closes games. Kodama of the East Tree turns that land-entering-the-battlefield into a cascade of free permanents, and Galadriel of Lothlórien counts it as a land drop to keep the scry engine churning.

Loot, Exuberant Explorer

21.2% of decks · synergy 0.19

Loot, Exuberant Explorer rewards any land hitting the battlefield with treasure and more exploration, so Elfsworn Giant's enters-the-battlefield land drop slots cleanly into that resource chain.

Tatyova, Benthic Druid

Tatyova, Benthic Druid

14.0% of decks · synergy 0.12

Every land entering the battlefield draws a card and gains life under Tatyova, Benthic Druid, so Elfsworn Giant's free land trigger converts immediately into card advantage the turn it arrives.

Zimone and Dina

Zimone and Dina

Zimone and Dina wants repeated land drops to drain opponents, and Elfsworn Giant supplies one the moment it enters — feeding the life-loss engine while adding a threatening body to the board.

Commander is where Elfsworn Giant earns its slot — landfall commanders treat the enters-the-battlefield land drop as a free spell, and a 5/5 trampler is a real threat at any table. Outside Commander, a six-mana 5/5 with a slow land ramp effect is too far behind the curve in Modern or Pioneer, where six mana buys you game-ending haymakers. In Legacy and Vintage the competition is even steeper; Elfsworn Giant won't find a home there. Pauper and Standard are the only non-Commander formats where it could see fringe play if a dedicated landfall shell exists in the current card pool, but it remains a Commander card first and last.

Price Context

Current price

$0.29 bulk tier

At $0.29, Elfsworn Giant sits firmly in bulk territory — easy to pick up as a four-of or just slot into a landfall Commander build without a second thought. Bulk rares with clear synergy homes tend to hold their floor, so don't expect it to drop further.
