Electrosiphon card art
Electrosiphon lets you pay life to cast artifact spells for free, turning your life total into a second mana pool — the impact is enormous in the right shell. Liberty Prime, Recharged decks run it at an 85% clip for a reason: when your commander already cares about large artifacts and Energy, skipping their mana cost turns a slow curve into a blitz.

Liberty Prime, Recharged

Liberty Prime, Recharged

85.2% of decks · synergy 0.79

Liberty Prime, Recharged wants to slam expensive artifact threats ahead of schedule, and Electrosiphon converts life payment into free casts on the biggest robots in the deck — 85% inclusion rate reflects just how central this interaction is to the archetype.

02
Dr. Madison Li

Dr. Madison Li

81.9% of decks · synergy 0.75

Dr. Madison Li's artifact-heavy gameplan benefits directly from Electrosiphon's cost-skipping, letting the deck deploy multiple artifacts in a single turn and immediately trigger whatever payoffs Li has in play.

03
Satya, Aetherflux Genius

Satya, Aetherflux Genius

57.3% of decks · synergy 0.51

Satya, Aetherflux Genius creates token copies of artifacts, and Electrosiphon accelerates the initial cast that starts the engine — getting key artifacts onto the battlefield a turn or two early compounds throughout the game.

04
Saheeli, Radiant Creator

Saheeli, Radiant Creator

53.0% of decks · synergy 0.51

Saheeli, Radiant Creator's ability to copy artifacts scales hard with how many are already in play, and Electrosiphon lets Saheeli shells flood the board faster by bypassing mana costs on the most expensive pieces.

Electrosiphon is legal in Commander, Legacy, Vintage, and Oathbreaker, but Commander is where it actually sees play — 85% inclusion in Liberty Prime, Recharged decks tells you everything about where this card belongs. In Legacy and Vintage, paying life to cast artifacts is competing against Mox Opal, Memnite, and faster free-spell infrastructure that makes Electrosiphon's four-mana setup cost a dealbreaker. Oathbreaker could theoretically support it in an artifact-heavy shell, but the 60-card singleton format shrinks the redundancy needed to make consistent life-payment lines work. Stick to Commander.

Pricing data for Electrosiphon isn't currently available in our sources, so check Scryfall or TCGPlayer for a live number before buying. Given its 85%+ inclusion rate in Liberty Prime, Recharged decks and its role as a near-staple in that archetype, don't expect to find it at bulk — demand from a popular commander tends to push niche enablers above their natural price floor.
