Druid of Purification card art
Druid of Purification hits the table and immediately trades votes with your opponents to blow up problem artifacts and enchantments — the political ask costs you nothing because the removal was already the goal. At four mana for a 3/3 with enter-the-battlefield value, the rate is fair, and in a four-player pod the trigger almost always connects. Círdan the Shipwright decks in particular want this because every creature entering off a drawn card gets to clean up a stax piece on the way in.

Commanders with the highest synergy

01
Círdan the Shipwright

Círdan the Shipwright

47.9% of decks · synergy 0.46

Círdan the Shipwright draws a card whenever he or an equipped creature attacks, which means the deck floods the board with enters-the-battlefield creatures naturally — Druid of Purification slots in as free interaction that doubles as a threat, and the blue-green color identity makes artifact and enchantment removal otherwise scarce.

02
Saheeli, Radiant Creator

Saheeli, Radiant Creator

47.3% of decks · synergy 0.45

Saheeli, Radiant Creator builds around copying artifacts and creatures repeatedly, and artifact-heavy tables generate a constant rotation of opposing threats; Druid of Purification gives the deck a way to rip opposing artifacts or enchantments while advancing the creature count Saheeli's token generation rewards.

03
Henzie "Toolbox" Torre

Henzie "Toolbox" Torre

43.5% of decks · synergy 0.39

Henzie "Toolbox" Torre cheats big creatures into play with blitz and wants every creature to justify its enter-the-battlefield trigger immediately; Druid of Purification delivers guaranteed removal in a format where token copies still ask for votes, and blitzing a 3/3 for reduced cost means the body was almost free anyway.

04
Vrondiss, Rage of Ancients

Vrondiss, Rage of Ancients

29.9% of decks · synergy 0.28

Vrondiss, Rage of Ancients wants a high creature density to fuel Dragon Spirit tokens off damage triggers, and Druid of Purification fills a body slot while handling the enchantments and artifacts that would otherwise lock down the combat-centric gameplan.

05
Tadeas, Juniper Ascendant

Tadeas, Juniper Ascendant

24.7% of decks · synergy 0.23

Tadeas, Juniper Ascendant rewards running creatures with reach and encourages a tempo-forward green creature plan; Druid of Purification fits the creature-spell density the deck needs while providing the artifact and enchantment removal green wants but often has to spend a dedicated slot on.

Format Analysis

oathbreaker

Commander is where Druid of Purification lives — the voting trigger is designed for multiplayer, and in a four-player game you will almost always find at least one opponent willing to trade a vote to destroy something they also hate. In Legacy and Vintage it's technically legal but sees no play; a 3/4 mana creature with a conditional enters-the-battlefield effect doesn't compete in those formats' threat density. Oathbreaker offers another multiplayer home where the same political logic applies at a smaller table, though the two-player floor of some pods can make the vote less reliable. Modern, Pioneer, Standard, and Pauper are off the table entirely. Treat Druid of Purification as a Commander card through and through.

Price Context

Current price

$2.47 cheap tier

At $2.47, Druid of Purification sits comfortably in the cheap tier — it's an easy inclusion that won't strain any budget. Demand is driven by Commander-only appeal, so the price is unlikely to spike without a reprint pressure shift, but it's also stable enough that picking one up now versus later makes no meaningful difference.
