Dreamcatcher is a one-mana 1/1 flyer that replaces itself when you sacrifice it — the card draw is the whole reason to run it. It's a marginal payoff that asks too much setup for too little return outside of dedicated sacrifice or spirit-tribal shells.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t

| modern | legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
In Commander, Dreamcatcher earns a slot only in sacrifice-matters decks that want cheap, repeatable fodder with incidental upside — think Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver or Teysa Karlov lists that care about bodies hitting the graveyard. In Pauper, it's outclassed by more efficient commons that either fly harder or draw more reliably without the sacrifice clause. Legacy and Vintage have no interest — the rate doesn't clear the bar when Ornithopter and Thoughtcast exist. Dreamcatcher is a Commander card in the narrowest sense: it's fine in the right shell and invisible everywhere else.

Price Context
Current price
$0.08 bulk tier
At $0.08, Dreamcatcher is deep bulk — you'll find it in a common box long before you'd order it. There's no meaningful price floor to speak of, and nothing about its demand profile suggests that changes.
