Dramatic Accusation taps a creature and keeps it tapped until end of turn — a combat trick that doubles as a soft answer to one threatening blocker or attacker for two mana. It's a fine Limited card and a near-unplayable Commander inclusion; the effect doesn't scale to multiplayer tables where one creature rarely decides a game.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | legal |
| standard | legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Dramatic Accusation is legal everywhere but earns a slot almost nowhere. In Commander, two mana to tap one creature for a turn is too low-impact to justify the slot over removal that answers the permanent entirely. In 1v1 formats like Legacy and Modern, cheaper and more permanent answers dominate the same role — Paralyze and Icy Manipulator do more, and actual removal does more still. Pauper is the one format where cheap tempo plays see the most action, but even there the card trades poorly against any deck that replaces its threats. Standard-legal for now, but it won't see Constructed play.

Price Context
Current price
$0.09 bulk tier
At $0.09, Dramatic Accusation is deep bulk — the kind of card you pull from a common box without thinking twice. That price is a ceiling, not a floor; there's no competitive demand to push it higher.
