Dispeller's Capsule destroys any artifact or enchantment for two mana and a sacrifice — clean, on-demand removal with no targeting restrictions. In most decks it's a fine role-player, but Osgir, the Reconstructor turns it into a repeatable engine that makes the two-mana cost essentially irrelevant.

Osgir, the Reconstructor
Osgir, the Reconstructor copies Dispeller's Capsule from the graveyard for free, turning a one-shot answer into a recurring removal loop that strips artifacts and enchantments off the table every turn cycle.

In Commander, Dispeller's Capsule earns its slot in artifact-recursion shells — anywhere else it's a serviceable budget answer that competes with strictly faster options. Pauper is where it sees the most dedicated play outside Commander; the format's slower clock makes the two-mana activation cost acceptable, and the sacrifice clause matters less when you're not fighting through counterspell-heavy blue decks on turn two. In Legacy and Vintage the card is legal but irrelevant — Swords to Plowshares, Force of Will, and same-turn speed define those formats, and a tap-out removal piece with a delayed activation doesn't make the cut. Modern has Prismatic Ending, Leyline Binding, and a dozen other options that cost the same or less and resolve immediately, so Dispeller's Capsule doesn't show up there either.

$0.13 bulk tier
At $0.13, Dispeller's Capsule sits firmly in bulk territory — pick it up from any common box without a second thought. Bulk commons don't appreciate, but this one doesn't need to; you're buying it for the effect, not the spec.
