Deadeye Plunderers turns every Treasure you make into a permanent size upgrade and a Treasure factory in its own right — the longer it sits, the wider the gap it opens. Five mana is steep, but Goldspan Dragon decks and Admiral Beckett Brass piles move enough artifacts to make that cost feel like a discount.

Admiral Beckett Brass
Admiral Beckett Brass runs a Pirate-and-Treasure engine by design, so Deadeye Plunderers fits as both a payoff and a self-sustaining mana source — the more permanents you steal, the more Treasures you crack, and the larger and more threatening it becomes.

Deadeye Plunderers is a Commander card through and through — the slow snowball it creates only matters in a game where it has four turns to compound. In Legacy, Modern, and Pioneer it is simply too slow and too fragile to see play, and the Treasure synergies it wants are better exploited by faster, cheaper engines in those formats. Commander is the one place where a 3/3 that grows and generates mana every turn earns its five-mana ask, specifically in Pirate or artifact-heavy builds where the trigger fires multiple times a turn.

Current price
$0.28 bulk tier
At $0.28, Deadeye Plunderers is deep bulk — the kind of card you pick up without thinking and slot in without budgeting for it. The price is stable; there is no competitive demand to spike it, and casual Treasure demand keeps it from dropping further.
