Deadapult turns any zombie you control into a Shock on demand — sacrifice a zombie, deal 2 damage to any target, repeat as many times as you have fodder. The setup cost is real, but in a dedicated zombie deck with consistent token generation, this is repeatable direct damage that doubles as a sacrifice outlet.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | not legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Deadapult is a Commander card front to back — the format's longer games and tribal synergies are exactly where sacrifice-outlet damage engines find room to breathe. Zombie tribal commanders can loop it with token generators to ping down planeswalkers, finish low-life opponents, or clear small blockers without spending cards. In Legacy and Vintage it's legal but functionally absent; the formats are too fast and too focused for a three-mana enchantment that asks you to already have a zombie army in play. Oathbreaker could support it in the right shell, but the 20-life format compresses the window where 2-damage pings close games.

Price Context
Current price
$0.26 bulk tier
At $0.26, Deadapult is firmly bulk — you're paying for cardboard, not scarcity. It's unlikely to climb unless a new zombie commander pushes the archetype into the spotlight, so pick it up cheap and don't expect to flip it.
