Cursed Land deals 2 damage to a land's controller at the start of their upkeep — a slow, targeted drain that rarely justifies its slot. One enchantment, one land, two damage per turn is simply too little effect for too much setup in a format where games end fast.

Cursed Land is legal in Commander, Legacy, Vintage, and Oathbreaker, but legal doesn't mean playable. In Commander, 40 life totals make two damage per turn effectively meaningless — you'd need it to sit uncontested for twenty turns to threaten one opponent, let alone three. Legacy and Vintage have access to it but run far more efficient land disruption, so Cursed Land sees no play there either. Oathbreaker's lower life totals (20) make the math slightly less embarrassing, but the effect still doesn't compete with direct removal or faster win conditions.
