The ceiling is low unless you're in a deck that abuses adventure recasting or Food synergies, and the Bösium Strip combo aside, most decks can find better two-drops.

In Commander, Curious Pair // Treats to Share occupies a narrow role: Food-matters decks and adventure-value engines are the only shells that want it, and even there it competes with stronger options. In Pauper it's more viable — common-legal Food generation is sparse, and the adventure subtype matters for niche synergy builds. Modern and Pioneer have long outpaced it; the rate on both halves is simply too weak to justify a slot in any competitive shell. Legacy and Vintage don't look twice at a 1/1 for two.
