Corrupting Licid card art
Corrupting Licid turns any creature you control into a repeatable Pacifism, paying one black mana to shut down a threat for as long as you keep the Licid attached. The activation cost is low, the effect is real removal-adjacent, but the fragility — one removal spell on the host creature and the Licid returns to the battlefield unharmed — keeps it out of competitive lists.

oathbreaker

Corrupting Licid is legal in Commander, Legacy, Vintage, and Oathbreaker, but sees virtually no play in any of them. In Commander, the effect is too conditional — it locks down one creature at a time and falls off the moment your host is removed, which happens constantly at a four-player table. Legacy and Vintage have access to far more efficient answers, so Corrupting Licid never registers there. Oathbreaker is the one context where slowing down a single threatening creature might buy enough time, but even there, dedicated removal or stax pieces outclass it.

Price Context

Current price

$0.28 bulk tier

At $0.28, Corrupting Licid is deep bulk — the price reflects demand, which is essentially zero. Don't expect it to move; there's no competitive context driving interest, and bulk Licids have sat at this floor for years.
