Corrupted Zendikon turns any land into a 3/3 black Ooze that returns the land to your hand when it dies — raw board presence for a single black mana. The cost is tempo: you lose the land's mana production until you replay it, so this card rewards decks that can absorb that setback and punish opponents who can't block a 3/3 on turn two.
Format Analysis

In Commander, Corrupted Zendikon is a niche pickup for decks that want repeatable land-bounce loops or landfall triggers — animating a land, letting it die in combat, and replaying it for another landfall hit is a genuine engine in the right shell. Pauper is where it sees the most competitive consideration, since a 3/3 for one mana (amortized with a land) is a real rate at common and the bounce-on-death clause can fuel graveyard or landfall synergies in that format's slower black lists. In Legacy and Vintage the card is legal but entirely outclassed — you will not cast Corrupted Zendikon in a format where the competition is Murktide Regent and Emrakul, the Aeons Torn.

Price Context
Current price
$0.11 bulk tier
At $0.11, Corrupted Zendikon is deep bulk — pick up as many copies as you need without a second thought. Bulk commons don't appreciate unless they break into competitive play, and that's not a realistic scenario here.
